TORONTO (CP) _ The number of vehicles sold in August by Chrysler Canada rose 1.2 per cent from a year ago to 20,503 on the highest retail sales of the year, the automaker said Tuesday.
For the year-to-date, Chrysler said its sales are up 6.1 per cent to 162,862 vehicles.
Total sales of its Jeep brand products rose 47 per cent to a new August monthly high.
For the year, sales of the Dodge Caliber compact car were up 13.6 per cent, while Dodge Ram and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks rose 6.7 and 6.8 per cent respectively.
